Memory Chair

The Memory Chair is a travelling collector of our secrets and stories. Launched at Tent during the London Design Festival.

We share our lives with pieces of furniture. Chairs become our places of comfort and refuge, over time collecting our detritus and our most treasured possessions. ‘The Memory Chair’ is a travelling piece expanding over time, collecting our memories, bulging with our secrets. Visitors are asked to contribute and be part of the story. "Write a secret on a scrap of calico and ‘post’ inside the chair." The Memory Chair is now locked up and safely stored before continuing the next stage of its journey.
