An elegant reworking of the classic plastic stacking table found in bars and cafes across the world.
Hannah has taken this largely anonymous classic and turned it into an object of desire. Whilst retaining the elegant simplicity of the original tables, Hannahs’ reinterpretation refines the concept, resulting in delicate and elegantly proportioned pieces. The gently tapering legs and their internal corners belie the functional, stacking element of the design. The contrast of soft timber against coloured metals, highlights the natural beauty of the reclaimed wood and the functionality of the hand crafted frames.
Like much of Hannahs’ work the Brazil table incorporates elements of memory and place alongside carefully considered material combinations, in this case the delicately textured timber reclaimed from a local historic building.
